We searched high and low for the meaning of the Scendum EP, as a word it translates from Latin to English as 'to go down', and to be fair Concept One isn't wrong titling his EP that, as any of the 7 tracks are sure to go down a treat, whether that's in a club, your headphones, or while you're going dow..., we'll stop ourselves there. We'd be lying to you if we didn't say this one is built to knock your socks clean off, and the socks of anyone on the dancefloor when one of these heaters gets unleashed (let it be said on record that we hold no responsibility for that happening). Heavy rolling drums, with a minimal-esque quality, are met with basslines that sound almost like Neuro and Jump Up have had a lovechild, and we for one aren't complaining. If this EP is your introduction to Concept One as an artist, then you're in luck, as despite being varied in styles, there's a unique quality that this producer brings to every track, and we don't know quite what it is but it's just that little je ne sais qoui that shows you who made it, kind of like a painter's signature but not.
